Choice Hotels International, Inc. (CHI) is opening its first two Cambria Hotels in the Pacific Northwest. CHI has started construction on Cambria Hotel Pearl District in Portland, Oregon and Cambria Hotel Hillsboro in Hillsboro, Oregon. Both properties are expected to open in spring of 2025.
“The groundbreaking of the Cambria Hotels in Hillsboro and Portland represents another proud moment for the brand,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president of upscale brands at Choice Hotels. “This milestone marks Cambria’s entry into the Pacific Northwest and commemorates yet another fantastic destination for modern travelers who know and love the Cambria brand.”
The Cambria Hotel Pearl District will be a six-story, 178-room hotel in the heart of Portland’s Pearl District. The Cambria Hotel Hillsboro will be a four-story, 115-room hotel in Hillsboro, 20 minutes outside of Portland.
“Portland is known for the vibrancy and uniqueness of its many neighborhoods, each with a distinct sense of place just like Cambria Hotels,” Cannon added, “and we look forward to showcasing the diverse communities through the new properties.”
Choice Hotels has been operating since 1941, and there are currently over 65 Cambria hotels open across the U.S., with more 70 hotels on the way.
