Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is planning to sail this summer outside of the United States.
Because rules by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will limit their sailings, NCL announced they are planning to focus on the Caribbean and Europe by summer of 2021.
Norwegian plans to start sailing in August with Oceania Cruises in Western Europe and Scandinavia, as well as with Regent Seven Seas Cruises from the United Kingdom in September. They will also begin some cruises in the Mediterranean, including Greece, between July and September.
NCL previously said they also plan to sail in the Caribbean in July, sailing from Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
“We are pleased to unveil the next chapter of our resumption of cruise voyages embarking outside of the U.S. with sailings in Europe on all three of our award-winning brands,” said Frank Del Rio, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. “As part of our two-pronged approach to return to cruising within and outside of the U.S., we are simultaneously planning for a potential resumption of cruising from U.S. ports while we await further discussion with the CDC.”
Norwegian has proposed plans to sail from U.S. ports on July 4, but nothing has been solidified.
