Seabourn has revealed its new Seabourn Pursuit, expected to launch in August of 2023. Seabourn Pursuit will sail five voyages in the Mediterranean before embarking on two voyages across the Atlantic and through the Caribbean. On Oct. 10, 2023, the ship will arrive in Barbados to begin its expedition journeys and then head south for expeditions exploring coastal South America, the Amazon, and Antarctica into late March 2024.

“Seabourn Pursuit is our newest crown jewel, where guests will experience the perfect blend of ultra-luxury design combined with elevated expedition experiences,” said Seabourn president Natalya Leahy. “While exploring remote locations around the world, our guests will immerse in a home-away-from-home designed with luxurious spaces in mind to reflect the natural beauty guests will experience aboard Seabourn Pursuit. This state-of-the-art expedition ship is truly a celebration of the creative energy and input of our design collaborator, Tihany Design, and we are proud to welcome Seabourn Pursuit to our ultra-luxury fleet.”

Seabourn Pursuit’s sister expedition vessel is the Seabourn Venture, and has nine decks and 132 oceanfront suites. The Bow Lounge on Deck 6 provides the closest access to the water via the foredeck, making it a prime destination to watch for marine life.

Seabourne Pursuit will include a wide variety of activities including Zodiac cruising, nature walks and hikes, scuba diving, snorkeling, luxury submersibles, and kayaking — all led by a world-class expedition team of experts, including scientists, scholars, naturalists, and more.

“Seabourn Pursuit invites travelers to embark on extraordinary journeys that seamlessly blend ultra-luxury experiences with memorable adventures,” Leahy said. “From underwater dives that redefine anything travelers ever imagined about submersibles, to immersive Zodiac cruises and captivating hikes accompanied by the individual attention of our expedition experts, every experience is a life expanding moment that will stay with guests forever.”

Following its inaugural Antarctic season, the ship will head across the islands of the South Pacific and eventually to Australia, which will be the start of the line’s first exploration of the Kimberley region in the Northern Territory and Western Australia between June and August 2024. In addition to the Kimberley, Seabourn Pursuit will visit Papua New Guinea, West Papua, Indonesia, and sail across the South Pacific between Chile and Melanesia between March and October 2024.
